Navigating confined spaces is made effortless thanks to precision ball-bearing castors that allow full rotation and swivel operation. For highly demanding tracking and positioning, our lifters can be fitted with fixed front rollers combined with a rear-steer configuration, giving operators unmatched control in narrow gangways.
Whether using our wide semi-circular cradles (scoops) for long rolls or our single central boom attachments for hollow cores, loading and unloading is effortless. Features like integrated transfer plates, support straps and quick-release safety latches ensure that reels slide smoothly onto machine spindles without manual forcing.

For general reel lifting and unloading
The RL2 Reel Lifter is a heavy-duty 250kg model with a rolling boom system for safe loading from dollies or the floor, plus smooth unloading at the destination. It is well suited to controlled reel handling where stability and straightforward transfer are key.
For tight working areas
The RL2S Reel Lifter offers the same 250kg lifting capacity but is designed for tighter spaces, using full swivel castors for excellent manoeuvrability in confined work areas.
For deeper reels
The RL6 Deep Reel Lifter is designed for reels up to 720mm wide and provides stable rolling-boom handling for wider industrial reels.
For bespoke pallet-access or specialised handling
Where standard equipment is not enough, MJ Products can develop bespoke reel handling equipment around your exact requirements. A project for Butternut Box created a custom reel lifter for 800mm reels up to 300kg, lifted directly from pallets using a wide straddle trolley and a 400kg SWL design.
The RL Series Reel & Roll Lifters have been a game changer for our operations. Handling cylindrical rolls of various materials, like paper and film, used to be a challenge, but these lifters have made the process incredibly efficient and safe. The semi-circular platform cradles the rolls perfectly, and the manoeuvrability through narrow doorways is a major benefit for our tight workspace.
