Bespoke Roll Lifter solution for GKN Aerospace

GKN approached us with an issue handling long rolls of various material type, as existing generic products on the market did not meet their specific needs.

Their requirements were to collect rolls from a storage A-frame, transport them across the premises to a 'Desi table' printing machine for consumption. The solution needed to be compact enough to fit through a doorway with height and width restrictions, while retaining an appropriate lifting and lowering mechanism.

The resulting solution eliminates the need for rolls to be manually handled throughout the entire journey of the roll, from storage to consumption, which has significantly improved operational speed and efficiency.

This end-to-end solution has also drastically reduced the risk of injury and contributes largely to compliance with safety standards.
